RETIREMENT RESIDENCES
WITH AND FOR FAMILY PETS

The aging of the U.S. population in the next decades will create a large area of unmet demands. Recognizing an increased demand in a certain market can open doors for new kinds of business opportunities.
A Place for Mom (Senior Nationwide referral service) reports that more than 50% of those looking for housing ask whether pets are allowed. A large segment of U.S. population will be reluctant, and refuse to the end, a move to any retirement place or care facility out of fear of being separated from their companion animal. No one should have to choose between a home with better care for themselves and keeping their beloved pet.
Conversely, people who are deeply attached to a pet will be more likely to move into a retirement community with the peace of mind that they can continue to live together in better circumstances for both. They will both enjoy a happier, healthier quality of life with the emotional support they can give each other.
