After thirty-five years of a thriving TOUCHED BY AN ANIMAL organization pursuing a UNIQUE MISSION, our VISION is of a RETIREMENT COMMUNITY specifically designed and built for people who have beloved companion animals, with an empathy that motivates toward helping one another while benefiting from the HEALING POWERS OF NATURE in ALL of its LIVING forms.

BIOPHILIA, literally love of life, is defined as “the connections that human beings subconsciously seek with the rest of life” (Edward Wilson, biologist and naturalist, 1984) and explains the ingrained emotional response to landscape and nature in its three life-sharing parts: plants and animals, and humans.

Residents of the retirement Community we envision will derive improved and perhaps prolonged life, enriched daily by the NATURAL gifts of GARDEN, loving bonds with their own COMPANION ANIMALS, and HUMAN INTERACTION through VOLUNTEERING, SHARING and BEING APPRECIATED for their skills, life experiences, and caring spirit, They can feel peace in the security of their own future continuing care Life Plan, that of their family companion animals (Lifetime havens) and their legacy (caring volunteerism).
