MEETING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF LEED AND GREEN SQUARE
Leadership in Energy and Environment Design:
www.usgbc.org/LEED
We want our buildings to be as energy efficient and least detrimental to the local and planetary natural environment as possible. We will strive for the highest of LEED certification: Platinum
LEED certification means healthier, more productive places, reduced stress on the environment by encouraging energy and resource-efficient buildings, and savings from increased building value, higher lease rates, and decreased utility costs. LEED-certified buildings will directly contribute $29.8 billion U.S. GDP by 2018.
LEED certification provides independent verification of a building or neighborhood’s green features, allowing for the design, construction, operations and maintenance of resource-efficient high performing, healthy, cost –effective buildings. LEED is the triple bottom line in action, benefiting people, planet, and profit.
LEED BUILDINGS: are cost effective, save energy and resources, lower operating costs, provide a competitive differentiator, reap public relations community benefits, and optimize health. Thus LEED buildings result in making for happier employees and occupants.
By bringing the good in, like clean air and access to daylight, and keeping the bad out, including harmful chemicals found in paints, finishings and more- LEED creates healthy spaces. Buildings that optimize well-being are more important than ever.
The standard addresses product characteristics, manufacturing, end of product life management, corporate governance and innovation, and it establishes the spectrum of environment and social criteria most important to today’s green building world. Green squared certification covers a variety of products including tiles, grout, mortars, liquid and paste installation products.
